Kitty has been in the specialty foods industry for 21 years now and with all that experience comes a little bit of wisdom. In this year’s summer edition of Specialty Food Magazine, she has advice for the new generation of specialty food start-ups:
“The Internet is a handy research and organizational tool, but it is not on-the-ground experience. So get out there and try everything. Talk to people who are actually making or cultivating food and develop your own perspective and food philosophy. In this business there is no substitute for sincerity.”
